It's been a long time friends

Prior to Ruth Ann's birth I could regularly be found on any given Saturday morning at Creative Nails getting a pedicure. Well, maybe not every Saturday, but at least one Saturday a month. My toe nails prior to mommy-hood were ALWAYS painted. I remember the last time I visited Creative Nails...it was the week before Ruth Ann was born (for those of you counting...that was 16 months ago!) and I wanted to make sure my toes looked good for childbirth...by the way, no one noticed the fresh paint job. Once we were home, life changed...all for the better of course, but somehow the time (& money) I use to be able to find for pedicures before Ruth Ann arrived vanished. Don't get me wrong, I still do lots of things I enjoyed doing before she got here, but somehow painting my toes nails (even to paint them myself) dropped to the bottom and then off of my list of things to do. Last year I went the whole summer with naked toes nails (gasp...oh the horror!). But yesterday when my hubby announced he would be staying home from work today I knew I had to seize the opportunity and reacquaint myself with the fine folks of Creative Nails.

This my friends is my Friday Favorite...I had almost forgotten what painted toe nails looked like on my feet! I'm declaring the Summer of 2010 the summer of painted toe nails in my house...and maybe I'll get a little adventurous and paint Ruth Ann's too!

Very nice! I never paint my toe nails, takes too much patience. There's no way that I can sit still long enough to let them dry. :-)

Those are some great toes, baby!! :)
I know exactly what you mean and have done the same thing.
2 days before I went in to have H-man (2 1/2), I went to get a pedi. The Vietnamese lady there asked me how much longer until the baby was born and I said, "2 months"! ha! She about dropped off her stool. Then I told her 2 days and she loved it. I'm pretty sure they were talking about me the rest of the time. But one will never know!

I miss pedi's too and just nicely painted toes in general. My current status is painted but chipped and not lookin so fresh and hot. I can't wait for my daughters to get old enough to rub my feet and paint my toes. My oldest is almost 8, is that old enough?

Ahhh- your feet look so lovely in this photo. I am currently sporting clear polish. Does that even count?
